Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Cashless Fair  at Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of July 10, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, member of the editorial board of the newspaper Tuoi Tre,  said after exactly one month the first Cashless Fair for workers and employees took place at Linh Trung Export Processing Zone, today this special fair has arrived for workers of Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone.

Attendees will be able to buy for Saigon Co.op’s items at up to 50% off, as well as explore current payment methods, participate in entertainment events, get gifts, and have a chance to win prizes.

According to Ms. Huong, with the fair held at Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone this morning, the operators also brought a playground to experience the payment of 12 largest payment service providers in Vietnam such as Napas, Sacombank, MBBank, ACB, BIDV, HDBank, Momo, ZaloPay, Nam A Bank, SHB combine activities on the music stage, exchange with celebrities, games…

Hundreds of new accounts opened

At 7:00 a.m., Napas, Sacombank, MBBank, ACB, BIDV, HDBank, MoMo, ZaloPay, Nam A Bank, SHB… welcomed a huge number of clients to seek for presents and learn about services, as well as register accounts.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Cuong, deputy transaction office of Sacombank Tan Thuan (District 7), almost lost his voice because he had to consult continuously. After only 2 hours of the program, the booth attracted hundreds of customers, most of which opened accounts, twice the set target and this number continued to increase in the afternoon.

Workers are still used to paying at the counter, according to Mr. Ngoc Cuong, and many are scared to touch technology because they are concerned about safety or are unfamiliar.
